Botany Events Series

No 3: Beatson at The Botany

The Botany have teamed up with The Beatson Cancer Charity for a coffee morning fundraiser. The event will start at 9:30 am with networking, coffee, and tea. Expect live music, guest speakers and raffle prizes with a great selection of homemade treats. Our head chef, Jim Kerr, will also be hosting a special auction offering a private meal cooked for you, in your own home, for up to 6 people! Every ticket sold comes with one entry towards the raffle prizes available on the day.

We invite you to come enjoy a unique tasting experience on September 6th as we continue our Botany event series with 'A Taste of Japan'. From sashimi of halibut and sea bass to miso glazed aubergine with fillet of beef teriyaki, Jim has created a tasting menu embodying the heart of Japanese cuisine we believe you will love.

 

Especially curated for the evening by Inverarity Morton Sommelier, Guy Chatfield, guests will have the opportunity to enjoy premium sake and wine with our perfectly paired four course tasting menu. 

No 1: Introducing Jim Kerr

On May 31st we will be hosting a special evening to celebrate our new head chef, Jim Kerr! As such, Jim has orchestrated a special tasting menu for the night to showcase three courses of phenomenal classic French cuisine. 

 

Jim Kerr will be a name familiar to anyone with an interest in Glasgow's restaurant scene over the years.  Jim has previously lead landmark restaurants such as Rogano, One Devonshire Gardens, the luxurious five star hotel, Mar Hall and most recently the Western Club. Needless to say we are excited to have him here with us! 

 

No great meal is without wine so we have chosen Inverarity Morton Sommelier, Guy Chatfield to talk you through three French wines which he has expertly paired with each course. Guy has over 20 years of wine expertise under his belt we couldn't think of anyone better to take you through this culinary journey.
